Dr. Brenda Asiimwe-Kateera
Medical doctor and Epidemiologist
Is an impact driven public health specialist, advocate, researcher and physician. Has over 17 years’ experience leading public health programs in East and Southern Africa; most recently was the Country Program Manager for AIDS Healthcare Foundation(AHF) Rwanda which is the largest not for profit organization that offers HIV care services to more than 1,300,000 PLHIV globally. She also serves in a number of HIV leadership roles, including Co-chair of the Biomedical HIV Prevention Forum for ICASA. Is a member of the several technical working groups in the Rwanda Ministry of Health and is also part of the NIH funded Adolescent HIV Implementation Science Alliance. She obtained her first medical degree from Makerere University followed by postgraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University in the USA.
