Registration of the Biomedical HIV Prevention Forum (BHPF) 6th December 2021 12:25pm – 15:00pm SAST
AfNHi together with the co-chairs of the Biomedical HIV Prevention Forum (BHPF) warmly invite you to participate and stay engaged with the BHPF 2021 an official biannual pre-conference of the International Conference on AIDS and STI’s in Africa (ICASA). The Biomedical HIV Prevention Forum (BHPF) is an official pre-conference of the International Conference on AIDS and STI’s in Africa (ICASA). In 2021, BHPF will be the 5th following successful forums hosted in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019. The forum is a space for participants to share HIV prevention research-related perspectives, experiences, exchange around progress made and best practices in biomedical HIV prevention research advocacy in the region.
The objectives of the forum are;
▪ To build knowledge amongst advocates on current biomedical HIV prevention research;
▪ To strengthen advocacy for Biomedical HIV prevention research in Africa;
▪ To strengthen advocacy for increased domestic resources for HIV prevention research.
This forum is organized by AfNHi with technical and financial support by the BHPF Steering committee, WACI Health, Advocacy for Prevention of HIV and AIDS (APHA), New HIV Vaccines and Microbicides Advocacy Society (NHVMAS), AVAC, Frontline AIDS, AIDS Health Foundation (AHF), Rwanda NGOs Forum on HIV/AIDS and Health Promotion, HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN), Society for AIDS in Africa (SAA), Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+), International Partnership for Microbicides (IPM), International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), and South Africa National AIDS Council (SANAC).
